Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is perpetrated against someone based on their gender, gender expression, gender identity or perceived gender (Status of Women Canada, 2020).
In 2023, an epidemic was announced in the Peel (Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon) Region. As a community, we cannot allow individuals and families to face this alone, we must work towards bringing awareness and support for individuals and families who are at risk for or face GBV.
